The D-Link DGS-1210 Series Smart Managed Switches represent the latest generation of networking solutions, specifically designed to provide enhanced Power over Ethernet (PoE) output, a diverse array of physical interface types, multiple management interfaces, and sophisticated Layer 2 features. Consequently, with this comprehensive combination of functionalities, the DGS-1210 Series offers a cost-efficient and also flexible solution that is ideal for expanding virtually any business network.
Regarding connectivity, the DGS-1210 Series switches are available with various port configurations. For instance, they support 8, 24, or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports. Furthermore, each switch additionally includes either 2 or 4 Gigabit SFP ports. These SFP ports, moreover, facilitate optical connections, allowing for the use of both multimode or single-mode SFP transceivers, thereby extending network reach and flexibility.
PoE Support and Advanced Features:
Significantly, five out of the nine models within the DGS-1210 series family come equipped with Power-over-Ethernet capabilities. This feature, in turn, greatly simplifies deployments involving IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and other PoE-powered devices, eliminating the need for separate power outlets for each device. Specifically, these PoE-enabled models include the DGS-1210-10P (65W PoE budget), DGS-1210-10MP (130W PoE budget), DGS-1210-28P (193W PoE budget), DGS-1210-28MP (370W PoE budget), and DGS-1210-52MP (370W PoE budget).
Moreover, these PoE-capable models also support time-based PoE. This means that administrators can configure a specific time window during which each port’s PoE power is activated and deactivated, thereby optimizing power consumption and scheduling device operation. Additionally, all PoE models strictly adhere to both the IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, which ensures broad compatibility with a wide range of PoE devices. However, it is important to note that each specific PoE model’s power budget will vary, consequently impacting the total number and type of devices that can be powered simultaneously.

Surveillance Mode also includes its own Web UI, making surveillance features easily accessible and simplifying management of your surveillance network.

The switch can directly handle inter VLAN routing using multiple interfaces, making the network run faster and more efficiently.
