What This Product Does
The MC111CS is a media converter that, in essence, is designed to convert 100BASE-FX fiber to 10/100Base-TX copper media, or vice versa. Moreover, by adopting WDM technology, the MC111CS, in fact, only takes one fiber cable to transmit and receive data. Consequently, this will save you half the cabling cost.
Furthermore, the MC111CS supports longwave (LX) laser specifications at a full wire speed forwarding rate. It works at 1550nm when transferring data and at 1310nm when receiving data. Therefore, the other end device to cooperate with the MC111CS must, conversely, work at 1310nm on transferring data and at 1550nm on receiving data. For example, TP-Link’s media converter MC112CS is one example that can cooperate with the MC111CS.
Additionally, the MC111CS will transmit at extended fiber optic distances, utilizing single-mode fiber up to 20 kilometers.
