Description
TL-SL1226P 24-Port 10/100Mbps + 2-Port Gigabit Unmanaged PoE+ Switch
The TP-Link TL-SL1226P is, fundamentally, a 24-Port 10/100 Mbps + 2-Port Gigabit Unmanaged PoE+ Switch. Significantly, it is specifically engineered for larger-scale network expansions, particularly in surveillance systems, small to medium-sized businesses, and workgroups. While it operates as an unmanaged switch for plug-and-play simplicity, it simultaneously integrates hardware-controlled features that significantly enhance its suitability for specialized applications like IP camera deployments.
To begin with, its extensive port configuration is noteworthy:It features, consequently, 24× PoE+ 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports. These ports, therefore, form the backbone for connecting a large number of Fast Ethernet devices. Indeed, all 24 ports are fully 802.3at/af compliant PoE+, each robustly capable of delivering up to 30W of power. This high port count, as a result, is ideal for extensive deployments of PoE-powered devices. Furthermore, for higher-speed connectivity, it includes 2× Gigabit RJ45 ports. These dedicated Gigabit ports, therefore, provide high-speed uplinks to the core network, NVRs, or servers, thereby ensuring smooth data flow for high-bandwidth applications. Additionally, there are 2× combo Gigabit SFP slots. These versatile slots, in turn, share bandwidth with the Gigabit RJ45 ports and crucially, allow for flexible fiber optic connections. This feature, consequently, is crucial for extending network reach over long distances or connecting to fiber-based network segments.
Moreover, a key strength is its high PoE power budget, boasting up to 30 W for each PoE port and a substantial 250 W for all PoE ports*. This ample power capacity, therefore, enables it to simultaneously power a significant number of high-powered PoE+ devices, making it an excellent choice for large IP surveillance systems or extensive wireless access point networks.
